I find this video so enigmatic and poignant. It is so totally beautifully and yet leaves a feeling of complete awe and sadness. Its romantic beauty is almost tragic- perhaps these feelings are heightened by recent events. The simple movements and fabrics are captivating and the music is so beautifully haunting. The performance is so raw with emotion and she is still untouchable. I can't imagine how it would have felt to see this performance as it happened. I am left covered in goose pimples and completely dumbstruck watching it on the screen of a laptop. It is so simple and a repetitive movement however the mood of the piece and visually it is enchanting and provokes more raw emotion than any film with a narrative.
